When I try to click on data files on the launcher it is whited out and I can't do anything except quit plz help

Have you just installed the game? Have you done a restart after the installation?

Yeah the game starts up but when I say yes to starting a new game nothing happens it just stays at the menu

If you have Win 7, make sure you haven't installed the game in the Program Files folder (check the ReadMe).
