I came across this mod at the Skyrim Nexus web site. It is basically an overhaul for skyrim's gameplay and fixes a lot of features. It really changes how you play and caters more for the true RPG players instead of the casual players. Take a look it's really good
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286. The reason I'm telling you about it because it really fixes the gameplay and could potentially be useful for Enderal. I'm not saying you should copy the mod (you could!) but perhaps learn from it or take out certain elements because this mod really nailed it.
