Running Steam Version of Oblivion GOTY edition can run game just fine, just cannot save or better yet when save is done no saves appear in the "Load Selections"
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

This bug sometimes occurs because you pressed tab or alt-tab while you were entering the name of your character.
In this case, use the console to save. "save blah193" saves your game under the name blah193.ess.
