I'm playing through the game again, and I notice that the vast majority of runes seem to be not of a useful level, and ones that you can easily get from trainers. Probably much too late for this, but I think they should have spells that you couldn't have been taught by trainers, and perhaps been better than the standard ones, such as having better chances for bonus effects, or being more powerful for the mana cost. More of the unique spells like the one from frost finger also would have been nice.
