So does nehrim have oblivion's bug where items in chest may disappear? Asking because it seems I can't carry everything unique in my inventory, and safe chest is already filled with many things. Will they start disappearing after I put some more?

It's the Oblivion engine, so the bug also exits in Nehrim.
Items will reappear when you remove all items from the chest.

I've never had a problem with the chests. Realistically, what choice do you have? You can't carry everything you want to keep, so you either put it in the chests or sell it. Especially if you want to collect all the different parts of armor sets, there's no way to carry them all.

i noticed that when my chests start to overflow with stuff, saving, exiting, then reloading will show all or most of the inventory items that vanished (as long as you don't switch to your characters inventory when viewing the items in the chest). it's a pain but that's how i deal with it.
