I have just trained 10 pts in Blade then killed a zombie to reach level up.
Upon leveling I got no Strength credit for for the Blade training? (Get only 1 Strength point.)
Is this normal?

yes, in nehrim training doesn't count in leveling attribute. gained xp matters only.

Shucks! This is BAD.
Training is than very dangerous because you can max a Skill and be stuck with lower governing Attribute level.

I also agree with other comments that leveling is happening way too fast.
How many levels are there anyway?

Another thing: I don't see enemies respawn after I kill them, not even animals.

I miss free fast travel.
Is there an FAQ that tells me these things?
I am thinking of a guide here not a walkthrough (a how this and that works doc).

Normally you can get your attributes high enough just by leveling farther and farther. I dont think there is a level cap.

Are you sure that you have been far enough (at least 3 or so cells away) from them for at least 3 days?
