And I immediately thought of Berserk, a dark fantasy manga series. There was a strikingly similar image, I'll post it here:

This is near the end of Volume 17
Now tell me that doesn't seem similar.
So was it an easter egg, or just a big coincidence?

Ok, so that's apparently not an Easter egg, so I drop the questions. But the similarity between the photos is quite striking, especially the birds.

Do not want elongate a thread on torture, but, if interested, the "breaking wheel / Catherine wheel was used throughout Europe in the middle ages.
