Search for my roots quest broken - by IDunlap1027

Basically I try to break down the weak wall and only the top few bricks come out and i can't jump over. My games saved automatically right after this and don't have any others. are there any console commands that I can use to fix this?

Hmmm, If I remember correctly I had the same difficulty jumping over, anyway try to jump without the armor.

i hate to advocate cheating; however, if you can't make it over the wall, using the TCL command in the console might help.

Using tcl to solve a problem like this isnt cheating. Merely a means to solve the problem. Using tcl to acquire something your not legally able to would be cheating.
Tcl is practically a wallhack, it disabled collision, so you are able to move freely in all 3 axes. You have to be careful to not get stuck when you turn it off.

i had difficulties too but with a well aimed jump i managed to get over that wall...

there is some place where i couldn't enter or move on, like a smaller cave or rather a hole in the wall where i could see for example a chest.

I do think I used "z" to wobble the stones of the wall until it falled down.

I am also having problems with the wall in this quest,no matter how long I hit the wall with the pick-axe or where I hit it no bricks fall or even move.I've even un-installed the mod, cleaned and de-fragmented my hard drive and re-installed the mod.But after all this the result is sill no action at this point.I have all the requirements (patches, updates).Using TCL allows my PC to go through the wall but does not trigger the hatch.I don't think I'm doing something in the wrong way/order,but it's a bit frustrating to say the least.

Hi!
There was something that made me think about the possible problem....
I am also having problems with the wall in this quest,no matter how long I hit the wall with the pick-axe or where I hit it no bricks fall or even move
As far as I can remember, you shouldn't literally HIT the wall. It won't break.
InNehrim, we have :
-a sharpened pickaxe (weapon, which can be equipped and you can hit something with it, indeed)
-a pickaxe (tool) <-- this one should be in your inventory. It CAN'T be equipped, so you shouldn't be able to hit with it. When you have it, you simply click with a spacebar (or whatever contorl you hve for 'action') and the wall (bricks) should fall apart.

If you do have the tool and nothing happens, I think you should report the bug to Arvisrend at Suppot forum.

Btw..search for my roots is a side quest, so don't get too frustrated :) You should be still able to follow the main storyline and deal with the Search for my roots later on.
