I am working on the Traces Quest for the Nehrim Wiki (link below) and...

Though I have done the quest before, I cannot, for the life of me, remember how I originally made my way up into the mountains to get to the Old Mine at the South Pass! When I did it before, I was a very high level player character and had a strong acrobatics skill so I guess I could have just "climbed the mountain" but I can't remember if I did that or if I dropped down from the South Realm side or if I actually found a viable path that would enable one to walk up the mountain from the Tirin Abbey area. So, my question is: IS there a viable path up the mountain from the Tirin Abbey area or are you NOT supposed to be able to access the Old Mine at the Southern Pass area unless you climb down the mountain from the South Realm side?
Specific answers in a spoiler would be appreciated because I don't want to mislead anyone with incorrect information in the Wiki.

Go south from the Abbey. When you stand before the Faltrin fortress (or however it is called in English; it's a very low-level bandit-controlled fortress), turn LEFT. There is no road, but you can proceed for quite a distance here, and you end up on a plateau (you will recognize it by a lake with gold nuggets, and some very low-level enemies). Somewhere on this plateau, there is a further path up the mountain, which leads to the northern side of the pass.

Thanks arvisrend. I thought it might be over near there somewhere but I couldn't find it!
