I feel like I've tried everything barring a full reinstall. I first tried installing it with my normal version of oblivion, which is heavily modded. I did that and it started up fine but every time I clicked "New Game" it would load for about 2 seconds and then crash. So then I bit the bullet and bought the GOTY version on steam to use solely with Nehrim. I reinstalled Nehrim and did everything right. I got it to start up and then I went to click "New Game" and it loaded for 2 seconds and then crashed. I just fucked over my steam oblivion game and I've fucked over my other one as well. At this point I am willing to do anything but I can't reinstall my disc version of oblivion because after about a week straight of frustration I installed all 70 mods that I use and got them to work together. How do I fix this? I am about ready to punch a hole through my monitor.

Also, the readme contains solutions for your problem, look for "help, the game will not start".

Did you uncheck all Oblivion data-files before clicking on new game?

Did you delete oblivion.ini?

Could it have something to do with with bsa alteration?

I have decided that I give up. I can re-mod. I have run into so many problems whist modding that I will consider this a learning experience and start from scratch.
