I'm getting the steam error "Application load error 5:0000065434" when i try to launch the game. I tried all the things the readme file says. Please help!
I'm running win7 64bit.

Do not run steam myself, but just googled your fault and every response so far has been it is a steam fault not a game fault.

First try a reg cleaner. CCleaner is free and really good. Download from reputable site of course.

Final action I guess would be to reinstall steam. Unless someone else can come to your help, that is all I can offer.

Hope the reg cleaner works. Would stop a lot of messing about.

I tried cleaning the registry, but had no effect on the game.

I also have the steam version, and get the same error.

Might be a silly question, but have you done the below?

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\ or wherever steam.exe is.

2. Locate "steam.exe" and right click.

3. Choose properties.

4. Choose compatibility tab

5. check "Run this program as administrator"

6. Apply -> ok.
