32bit patch? - by Spikemd

hello,
i have a problem with installing the patch for Nehrim. I have Win 7 and 64bit. Apparently the patch is only 32bit, and Win 7 wont let me install it. Is there a 64bit version of the patch? Which also needs to be english?
If there is can someone give me the link.

Thanks

You didn't install to a program files directory, did you? If so, the game isn't going to work well at all. UAC is very problematical with games, especially games not designed specifically for a 64-bit OS.

i guess i did, i just let the installer default it.
so this would explain why i cant use the patch?
what do i need to do? uninstall the game into c/program files instead of c/Program Files(x86)?

Nope, uninstall and install it to an outside directory. I use C:\Games\NameofGame and go from there. This will stop windows from trying to "protect" you from yourself.

Ahh! thank you. ill try that as soon as i can. then post what happens.
I also have a slight problem of the game crashing fairly often, i just figured it because i didn't have it patched.
so i guess ill see how that goes too.
Thanks again

UAC has nothing to do with 64-bit.
Oblivion and Nehrim shouldn't have any problems with 64-bit architecture. With UAC, however, they do.

Ah, good to know! I've never had UAC except in 64-bit OS's so I thought they were intimately related. Rule of thumb: Installing games in a default system directory (ie Program Files/My Documents) bad. Installing them in your own created directory, good :)
