I love everything about Nehrim, EXCEPT the main quest. The story just isn't grabbing me at all. I like Kim, but I haven't liked a single other person and I feel no desire to free Narathaneal. I've done it and now it's more him and more Callisto and I just don't feel like marching to the beat of their drum. I'm to the part of the game where Kim and I can split off and do our own thing and I'm fairly tempted to finish the game this way. I'll be honest Oblivion's main quest was light-years better than this, and it wasn't the strongest point of that game either. I at least liked Michael and the Grandmaster. I just want to kill Narantheal and Callisto now and let the Northrealm guy take over. I can tell we're getting an "everyone dies but the hero" type of boring storyline and I'm only in Chapter 4. I'm guessing Kim dies and I think I've even seen a hint of that on the forums. Well, she only dies if I finish the main quest, and it's really not translating well anyway. I like games where I win and my friends win with me. Leaving right now and abandoning the quest seems like the best way for me to win.

It's funny, the story was really good and captivating until Merzul dies, then it becomes predictable and negative. It's like the writer changed after chapter 1 or something....

I'm not sure how much fun Kim will be without any dialogue. Can someone mod her to run away with me after Callisto betrays Nicci?
