Why are the teleport spells disabled after the main quest? - by Hadryon

I'm finding these teleport sites to be blocked by something that appears to be one of the landmines. Since I cannot interact with this teleport blocker, and I don't have a quest to fix them, I'd like some help with this problem. I've finished the main quest and maybe 10 of the side quests, and I'm attempting to teleport back to Gilead to do the Scavenger Hunt quest.

Sounds simple enough, right? Again, I CANNOT interact with this blocking device. It does not go boom. It cannot be hit with a sword. Arrows do not damage it. None of my best spells will harm it. The console "disable" command doesn't affect it. No interaction at all. Now that we've reiterated that, what's next?

A side note: nothing I've seen in the main story explains why the teleport blockers are there in the first place.

They appear at a appropriate time in the mainquest (shortly before Barantheons demise when you have to travel a lot) and can be destroyed.
Well, they are supposed to but I didn't try this in 1.0.8.1 and also not after the MQ.
