I made it to the campsite and dratis found the not with the"clue" on it. Now he is standing there in the middle of the clearing asking mre to search for more clues. What clues is he talking about, ive searched up and down the darn place and cant find a thing. its quite dispiriting. Any ideas?

ok, I had the same problem for a while. I'd advise you do what dratis says which is too look around the camp a little more. But if you really can't find anything.

Look around the rocks around the camp, there's a very inconspicious (spelling?) chest behind one of them

Pay attention to what the chest does too. It's going to teach you a spell that is very helpful in finding your crew.
