If I stand at the ruins of Aranthos and look to the west I can see on my compass a fort marker and a mine marker.
There is however a huge mountain range in the way.
If i travel south a little along the base of the mountains and look up I can see a long wooden suspension bridge which I assume I need to cross to get to the fort and mine high in the hills.
I have travelled south and north a fair way along the mountains without finding access up to them.
If I travel over the mountains (teleporting to the monastery for eg.) and follow them from their western side I cannot see the markers on my compass.
An ideas?

Whenever I've been in that position and spent a long time trying too find a way to somewhere or something. I've saved game and used tcl in consul to fly over and see if there is a path.

perhaps you post a screenshot here with the position you describe.

Solved it, just south of the ruins is a slope running up the mountains that splits into two. I went the wrong way ! dur!
