So yea when I started the game I was able to see the various skulls and bones and what not and the floor boards break just fine, but when I reach the point where i talk to that guy (his name starts with a C i think) Everything is pitch black. In my journal it says something about "But first i must light the torch." I don't understand this because i equip the torch and in the inventory my guy is holding it and its lit so... If there is a way to light it i would like to know. If it's something bigger i would also like to know how to fix it. Also, so far Nehrim is pretty fun XD

If you have an Nvidia card try disabling HDR in the Nehrim launcher. You can access the Nehrim launcher from the Program group that got created in the beginning. You can also mess with AA and Bloom, but HDR seems to be the culprit most of the time.

The torch should be lit the moment you equip it. Still quite dark as the torch does not shed much light. If you just want to be able to see more, increase the Gamma settings.
