so i just started playing and im at the part where you find a note about torches to make a trap but it seems that i cant open any crates in that room exept for an empty one
is this part of the quest?
if yes please help me with where to go
if no what can i do to fix it?

In a crate? No cookie for you.
Look around a bit more, maybe move or pull some things, without the torches you won't get out.
