Hi again.

1) I get HUGE slowdowns when I'm casting spells in the Dark Forest (and ONLY there.); I even get slowdows there sometimes when I'm not casting anything. Again, it happens only in the Dark Forest, and it makes that area *completely* unplayable. I know that it's not my hardware's fault since turning on the lite brite mode doesn't make any difference at all, nor restoring default Oblivion.ini or disabling what little mods I have. I even tried to set the weather to 'clear' using the console; nothing. So, is this normal? Is anyone else experiencing this?

2) In the midst of a slideshow when I was fireballing a skeleton I saw Ghost Rider Lazael. Is he connected to any quest? Does his horse run faster than a regular one? It is possible to have his horse? Can he be feasibly killed? (Due to slideshowing on every fireball I was unable to try it myself.)

This is a known problem in the dark forest, some time ago arvisrend has offered a special place in the credits for the person that delivers an actual fix. No takers yet.

Toggle distant land on the console (the command is tll) helps.

Thanks for the fix... I am getting this too. I'm down to under 10 fps in some spots despite running an i7 quadcore with 8 gb ram. I thought it was just down to the amount of items(specifically trees and plants) in that area. Are the trees there meshes or billboard versions?
