Alchemy - where do I get components? - by maxsteele

Hey everyone, I don't want to steal the items I need to perform alchemy. I've looked at the first village you come to, the second, and the mage area, and I cannot find anyone selling or giving away alchemical tools to perform alchemy.

How can I honestly do alchemy?

It's right under your nose actually

[+]: Just north of the starting abbey, there's a seller near a tent and he has mortar et pester, which is the only apparatus required. The other ones, that improve potions, I have found them in various dungeons

Grrrr.. Ah well. I totally missed him.

I missed him too the first time

I had an alembic and retort for a long while before I bought the mortar and pestle. Unlike you, I had no qualms about lifting one from the mages. I wonder if better sets exist. I hope so. The apprentice ones are good for now, but I hope to find journeyman, expert, etc. later.

Journeyman, expert etc come later on. And like you had no trouble lifting a full set.

[+]: Full set to have at Arcane Sanctum. Door behind Isetius in House of the Mage Council. Not really stealling, just a loan.
