Thank You All - by Rhutobello

Hey :)
I have just noticed this game, and I am about to install it.

After reading the first page in the forum, I found something missing.....I saw a lot of "complains" or "cry for help" but very little apprise.

I will do so with my post.

I think it is great that fans of RPG make so a big effort to make a game, and to share it willingly with us.

We must remember that the game has been developed and played on a lot of PC, and it has worked.

Now it has been released to an even greater audience, which has hardware and programs that differ all the way.

So maybe we shall approach our question with a bit more open mind, and not sound like complaining....we haven't paid a penny...we haven't lost a penny....but with some work we might get a great experience :)

Oblivion in itself created a lot of strange problems with crashes...many times due to "sound drivers" we ourself had installed beside those ordinary.(normally don't make a difference...but in Oblivion it did......think in Morowind too)

Many of us have installed a lot in our copy of Oblivion...maybe we even have installed conversations that change the vanilla game....but we have forgotten it...so when question mark occur...maybe that is the cause?

I have read the "Read me File" and hope a lot of you do the same....it gives a lot of good information....one of the best is..this is NOT OBLIVION...but it need the engine of Oblivion to work...

Well well....its not a complain toward anyone...my post is ONLY to praise all those who have worked on this and say "THANK YOU!"

I registered because I saw this message and just had to back it up. I had some problems getting Oblivion to run which were all solved by reading the readme.txt file. I backed up my Oblivion.ini so it made a new file, went into the game, and set options from there instead of the launcher.... and everything is great.

Now with that out of the way, on to the congratulations. This may well be the best game I've played in ages, and it's a free mod. Absolutely INCREDIBLE work, guys! The artwork is beautiful and manages to set a mood with an entire palette of colors, not the typical gray/brown that game developers consider "moody"... the voiceovers are awesome (would be better if I had paid attention during those German classes in college)... and the story is intriguing. If I have one complaint, it's that I can't survive the trip to the sanctum because the level range of the area jumps so drastically from the start and I keep getting taken out by random wildlife... but that's just convincing me to spend more time near the start exploring all the areas.

It absolutely cannot be stated enough.. THANK YOU! Thank you for all your hard work... thank you for breathing life into a game that has festered mostly forgotten on my hard drive for the past year... and thank you for actually helping me improve my German by listening to all the great voicework in the game! TAUSEND DANK! :D

Yes, you're quite right. I've been singing Nehrim's praises all over the place, but not on here where it actually counts!

Thanks to everyone involved in developing this incredibly generous and professional piece of work. This is as good as a new Elder Scrolls game to me - possibly better as it introduces many improvements to the levelling and doesn't just rehash the same old ES myths, but gives us an original world. Extremely impressive, and I think I'll be spending a huge amount of my gaming time with it.

...and if you need any voice actors for an English over-dub version, perhaps I can pay you back by helping!

I am so glad I browsed the threads before posting, because the OP said exactly what I wanted to say in terms of thanking the project group.

Thank you so much for making this masterpiece and thank you for making an English version.

I totally agree with this post. The game is amazing, beautiful and fun to play. I did have an issue, but it was not due to the game, and I resolved it by reading other posts in this forum.

Thank you for making this mod, I appreciate it and all of those who worked on it. Woot!
