After losing half of my nerves to the usual Wine problems such as malfunctioning mp3 support, I finally got it to "work". It actually worked well in the wilderness, but inhabited zones like Erothin (the capital city) had a framerate of ca. 2 FPS. I don't know what the problem was - probably some setting made Wine use only a small part of my CPU or my RAM, or something else - but changing the graphics settings ingame did not help. Maybe you will get better results. (After all, my experience with Wine is limited to these Nehrim attempts.)
