I am curious if the English translation is planned to be a patch or as a full separate installer? I have installed the German version even though I don't speak a word of it, just because I'm so very excited for it, and I wondered if I could just keep this install or if I'd have to reinstall once the English Version is out.

Btw even without the translation I made it out of the cave and the scenery took my breath away. Can not freaking wait for the translation! I have all sorts of quests and notes and scrolls I just have no clue what they mean, ha! Such impressive work.

Follow-up question:

Will the translated text be re-written by a native English-speaker (and hopefully a seasoned writer) so that it flows properly in English and has the same weight to it as in the original German? Direct English-to-German translations often don't sound right because of literal and grammatical equivalents not matching up.

So if its an extra installer we won't have to uninstall our German version, it'll just add the english files.... right.

But do we have to download the whole 1.6Gb file again? I'm just wondering that... I also downloaded Nehrim even that i don't understand more than few words of germany, and I didn't play longer than the character creation. And does anybody know when this translation is coming?

Yes, you will have to download the complete English installer again.

So it isn't like with Arktwend? I thought it would have been, so I dowloaded it at the day they released it, but I had no idea i would have to download another 1.6Gb file again... well, it takes just an hour...

Hey no worries, and the new installer will probably include any big fixes that are made to the 1.0 version in the mean time!

hey i have question. i was just thinking that are there going to be subtitles to the things when someone like talks near the player or to the player and when you are not talking with him/her?

There will be subtitles for these cases too.

You have to enable this in the game options.

hmm... i remember that i did that but i then again might have not done that.....

hmm... i checked that and i had subtitles on and they didn't show up
