This is in the case someone else stumbles upon this error(such as through google). I stumbled upon this error and found the
reddit thread where someone else had the same issue, but no resolution(beyond reinstalling the game). The cause is the Morrowind Code Patch, specifically
Script expression parser fix. Deactivate that and the mod will work as intended.
