I grew up bilingual, born in Munich but moved to US when 5 years old, but haven't used my German in a long time.
I really liked that Nehrim was spoken German with English subtitles.
Is something similar possible with Enderal?

Not really.
It would cause problems with the existing voice and text files.
Here you will find in an older post a detailed answer from Caleb. Although this affected the first Enderal version, the answer still applies.

Too bad, but I can see how it would be a real pain to make it work well.

Nehrim was something else. There was no English voice and the German was translated into subtitles.
For Enderal there were separate voice actors, english and german (much more of them you can see in the credits).
