I can play the introductory quest without a problem, and the first cut-scene of the game works fine. However as soon as the scene finishes the screen goes black and a box appears on the screen and the game crashes to my desktop. I've been searching forums trying to find a solution. Is there any way I could get some help with this? I've never played Enderal before. I tried to install it a long time ago before it came out on steam but the installation process was a bit too complicated for me. I downloaded it now that it's on steam because it's simple and easy but can't play the game because of this issue.

check in the Launcher settings the tab "optimisations", and activate/deactivate
OneTweak, ENBoost and/or OSAllocators.
these options are supposed to help with the performance, some systems don't play well with them though

do you have any mods installed? if so, which ones?
deactivate them.
please let Steam verify your game files in any case.

then see if anything of that helps.

if it doesn't, please attach a savegame (no auto- or quicksave).
they're found in (...\Documents\My Games\Enderal), we'll need the *.ess and the *.skse file;
pack both to a zip/rar/whatever archive, (the forum doesn't accept *.skse)
