I searched a solution for this and saw many people having kind of the same problem, but nothing solved mine.
I tried running the launcher as an administrator, i deleted the "uptade" folder (which is always empty anyway) but it didnt do shit
I uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim so I could install enderal on a vanilla skyrim, but when i install enderal and start installing the updates, it stays at 0% forever.
I looked for the launcher logs and this keeps showing up over and over again :

(the admin Hoxyd just checked, the file on the server is fine )

- could the launcher be blocked by some antivirus or firewall?
- are launcher and installation file in the same language?
- did you try to redownload the installation file?
maybe that got corrupted (download preferably via torrent)

- you could try to

[+] reset the patches

- open the file config.sur in
...Steam\steamappsommon\Skyrim\EnderalLauncher\systemonfig
- edit the line sCurrentVersion=x.x.x.x to sCurrentVersion=1.0.0.0
- run the Launcher as admin and reload the patches

- yes, the launcher and the installation files are for the french version
- I didn't try to redownload it but it doesn't seem corrupted, I can open it with winrar without any errors, and I downloaded it by torrent anyway
- I tried what you told me, but sadly nothing changes

the file opening doesn't necessarily mean it's not corrupted,
sometimes it even "correctly" installs the game :/

but if you downloaded via torrent anyway a damaged file is unlikely, yeah.

particulary the server connection issue might be of interest:

- Make sure to run the launcher as admin.

(- If the launcher displays that our download servers are offline, check your internet connection first. )

- If your connection is stable, but you are still not able to get a connection to our patch servers,
try to set the Enderal launcher as whitelisted on your firewall or your anti virus program.
You probably have to restart the launcher, otherwise it may not detect changes on your firewall or anti virus program.

- Port 80 must be free and available to use for the launcher.

- Untick and tick the online mode checkbox again in the launcher's update window, the launcher will try to connect to another domain.
- Wait a few minutes, the server might be busy (especially on patch days).
- Restart your PC and run the launcher as admin.

- Do you use VPN? It might help to deactivate or activate it.

where did you install Skyrim (/ are you planning to install) Enderal?
it looks like you're using the Documents folder or something

try installing it in some extra folder like c:/games/...,
not in any windows standard directory.

I already tried to install it in - C:\Program Files (x86)Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim
then installed it a second time, to the documents folder

I tried restarting my PC and starting the launcher as administrator, changed nothing


i have a decent internet connection
i tried ticking on and off all the checkboxes and restating the launcher etc
i dont use any VPN
http://prntscr.com/knzb3k it shows "online" so the problem is probably not my internet connection

and.. i dont know what is port 80

As urst has already written, please try a folder that Windows does not control specifically. This also includes C:\ProgramFiles...
Please install Enderal(Skyrim) e.g. in C:\Games\Skyrim
In the Windows-standard-folders there are time and again access rights queries, which can lead to problems.

I moved the game to c:/games
The updates are getting downloaded

well, turns out that was indeed the problem
