I have not played in some time but I have upgraded regularly. I am now on v.1.7.3 rel. 48.

When I started playing again I found that my in-game map was broken. The world map shows all the towers and caves, etc. but on a light grey background and at the top there is a strip that looks to be sky.

I can still navigate and my local map seems to be OK but I am wondering if this is a glitch in my game or something that is a known problem.

I have very few mods installed (3?)--Better Jumping and Pastel Map Markers. I tried disabling Pastel Map Markers...no help.

it should be 1.2.5.0 :|
[+] maybe reset the patches
- open the file config.sur in
...Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\EnderalLauncher\system\config (with Notepad)
- edit the line sCurrentVersion=x.x.x.x to sCurrentVersion=1.0.0.0 and save
- run the Launcher as admin and reload the patches

did you take a look at the pinned thread?
it's probably either an outdated launcher or some missing lines in the skyrim.ini :)

could you post a screenshot if that thread doesn't help?

Thank you for your help.

I don't know where that version number came from (maybe opening the opening screen?)...I thought I got it from the launcher but when I just now looked, the launcher said 1.2.5.01.

So launching from the launcher, everything seems copacetic. But when I use ModOrganizer, even with all mods disabled, I get this when I call up the map--

I use ModOrganizer...and have Better Jumping, Enderal SKSE Output and Pastel Map Markers loaded or can be loaded. Although with everything that MO loads disabled, I have the map problem.

Launching through the launcher I don't have the map problem. I would actually prefer using the launcher to play Enderal but I would miss Better Jumping...and actually that's about all I would miss.

If ModOrganizer is the problem, is there any way i can add the Better Jumping mod to my game and to the Launcher? It doesn't show up in my data files.

so the map works fine if Enderal is launched with it's own launcher :?:

hm.
I don't use MO, no idea how it does stuff.
does it store ini files seperately?
(in that case you'd need to edit them)

BetterJumping is an SKSE-plugin, that changes anything on the system, eg. Entries in Skyrim.ini, I do not know more.
(only the creator knows more there)

But this is likely to be incompatible with the current version 1.2.5.1 of Enderal
(with PaperMap)

PS:
1.7.3. Such an official version did not exist, and the Laucher version 48 is outdated.

Just an update/correction--the HUD says 1.9.3.2.0.8 (SKSE) 1.7.3 rel 48.

I'm not sure what all that means but I discovered that Better Jumping is installed in my Skyrim Data directory and it does work when launching Enderal through the launcher. (yay).

oh, so the numbers are
skse update 1.7.3, which was made for Skyrim update 1.9.3.....
(rel 48 is skse as well, it was specifically adjusted for Enderal, might be that)

Enderal contains SKSE version 0.1.7.2., If there are problems with newer versions, I do not know.
Besides, I did not realize you meant versions of SKSE.
I thought that should be Enderal versions ^^
