A Strange Place - not responding [solved] - by LastGreyWolf

Hi guys. I have a gamebreaking problem with Enderal crashing. I downloaded clean Skyrim again from Steam just to play Enderal, but I can't get through the first 40 minutes or so. Everything goes without a problem through the daddy quest to the ship, Sirius dying etc. Then I appear between the stones with talent trees, press P, choose meditation and press Z. Loading and then I get a black screen. I can hear some water (or maybe even a campfire? don't know really), but nothing happens. I try to click or press something, nothing happens and then I get "Skyrim stopped responding" and over. Tried to leave it running for like 5 or 10 minutes - nothing, tried spending or not spending the memory point - nothing. Until that point no crash or bug happened, but then - this... :(
I played Nehrim back in the day and was so excited to play Enderal, and now I can't. Please help.

Thank you.

Uninstall the Enderal completely (not archiving!) via the launcher. Clean the Skyrim folder by hand. Install Skyrim via Steam. Verify it's game cache: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art ... -QEUH-3335
Then run it to see if it works. If yes quit. If not you have done something wrong with the Skyrim installation.
Make sure you have the newest launcher A50: http://enderal.com/?lang=en
Download a fresh installation package (we recommend torrent) and install it with this instruction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwlSsjehgQA

Having same issue after this new update. Get the black screen of death.

Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, but same problem.

Patch has broken the game.

So I am not the only one, and it's not even my fault, even though I got an advice that suggested that :?
Because the advice I got ? I did that. Clean install of Skyrim, no trash from old installation, because I reinstalled Windows and cleaned everything like 3 months ago. Downloaded the newest torrent with date and newest launcher - why would I have older ones, when I wrote in the first post, that I just installed it. Install went fine, no mods added to Skyrim, no subscribed on Steam, Updated to last version of Enderal and launcher - A52. Even tried the tweak, disabling window mode etc. Nothing. Did all to the letter, still getting that crash.
Thank you, becker, now I know it's known issue and not my fault.

Patch 1.1.5.3 does solve some "new" issues. Check if it is still crashing.

Installed patch 1.1.5.3. None of my previous saves from the previous patch worked (black screen crash), but once I deleted all saves and started a fresh new game, I was able to progress to the Sun Coast with no problems.

Well, I installed patch 1.1.5.3.. but nothing changed. Old saves are still working (unlike becker), however I still can't get past the meditation. I will try to start a new game, when I have the time for it and see if that works.

Have you red my edit in the news for 1.1.5.3? The corrupted gold is probably causing the crash.

Yes! My bad, I was looking for the gold in the inventory like in Skyrim and I thought I had none, but then I realized it's in the right corner, used the gold fix and it worked! Thank you so much for your help  (Guess the lectures can wait today :D )
