getting started - by MacSuibhne

About 2 years ago, IIRC, after many pleasant hours of gameplay, I uninstalled Skyrim and Steam. I also uninstalled Nexus mod manager and Loot. I still have my Save games.

I really liked Skyrim. I would really like to play Enderal.

How can I do this? I have the Skyrim install disk.

I have looked at Gopher's Youtube vid on how to install but still have a few questions...

Can I just pop the Skyrim installation in and then install Enderal?

Will I pick up with the same character and skills as I left off with in Skyrim?

Can I bypass Steam with this "mod?"

Thank you...I might have a few more questions but I would appreciate any advice that will get me started.

If you have a legal version there should be no problem with installing Enderal.
Just follow the steps in Gopher's installation video.

You create a new character in Enderal since it is unrelated to TES. You can't import your old saves.

Yes!! Thank you. That's the answer I was hoping for.
I figured it couldn't hurt to try so I reinstalled Steam and Skyrim today. Seems like I'm back up and running although the audio seems a little wonky--not very loud even though I have the audio turned all the way up. Might be a system setting I guess--I always wear headphones.

Also don't have any of my mods loaded which is probably understandable since I also uninstalled Nexus Mod manager and Loot when I wipe Skyrim in 2014. But I understand they would not work anyway (or would need major tweaking or reinstallation in Enderal) so no big deal.

Anyway I'm a happy camper. So thanks
