Can't Update Enderal - by awesomeepicninja

When I try to open the game it says "Enderal Needs an Update", and I see that, yes, it does need an update since it's still on version 1.1. However, when I click the update tab it says "Your version is up to date" and "Connected to update server [1.dl3sureai], even though it's obvious that it's not up to date. Any suggestions?

Start the Enderal Launcher with Administrative privileges. If something with the update went wrong you can try this:

Close the Enderal Launcher.
Open "conf.sur" in \\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\EnderalLauncher\system\config with any editor (notepad) and find "sCurrentVersion=" - set to "sCurrentVersion=1.1.0.0". Start the Enderal Launcher as Admin and try the update again.

Upload your launcherlog:
\\steamapps\common\Skyrim\EnderalLauncher\system\log\Launcher.log

It's already set to "sCurrentVersion=1.1.0.0" the launcher gives no evidence of needing an update until I try to launch the game. I uploaded the launch log. I also remembered a similar problem I had with Rocket League, where I couldn't connect to their servers because it's categorized as Unrated by K9 Web Protection and that's one of the categories my parents set to block. Though the launcher still says I'm connected to the servers, so I'm not sure if that's the problem and I don't think my dad will unblock it for me to test it because he thinks I play too many games already.

Close the Enderal Launcher.

1. Delete the update folder located in \\steamapps\common\Skyrim\EnderalLauncher

2. Open conf.sur in \\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\EnderalLauncher\system\config
- set bInstallStat= to "1"
- set sSkyrimFolderPath=path to your Skyrim(Enderal) installation - where your TESV.exe / Enderal Launcher.exe is located.
- Save file.

Update Enderal to the latest version.

If this should not work as intended - i recommend a re-install - uninstall Enderal and install it again through the Enderal Launcher. In this case delete "Enderal Launcher" in \Skyrim\ after uninstall - just to be safe

If this works for you - feedback is appreciated to let me know what worked for you.

I can download the updates: 1.1.3.0, 1.1.3.1, 1.1.3.4 & 1.1.3.5 but when it goes to updating it just hangs and the first number increases past the number of files like 5 of 4 etc. I let it run all night and it got to over 4K.

I closed the launcher deleted the log file and tried updating again to no avail. Here is the new log file. Please help.

I have deleted everything and uploaded everything and all the cur file changes but to no avail.

I'll take a closer look at your file/case tomorrow - did you run the Enderal Launcher with administrative privileges? Download a new launcher from the website again if you're running an old version, try this too.

I did and I just deleted the launcher and downloaded the newest one and ran as administrator but same result. Says the updates are downloaded ready to install. I click on install and the gear moves but never goes past 0%.
