I am getting to a point where my skills are not on par with quests. I'm about to start Deus Ex Machina in the story. I'm wondering if there are other things or cities I should visit first for side quests. I'm about to go back to Riverville and see if I missed any. If that fails I plan to just go entering random caves/ruins. Are there any quests I can break if I go into one meant for a quest?

Also does anyone know a place or two I can steal some filled grand soul gems for enchanting? I'm pretty sure I got all the ones in Ark.

Also Also, does raising my alchemy allow me to discover more than one property when I eat an ingredient?

No, but there is a perk in one of the memory trees that allows you to learn 2,3, or 4 properties when you eat an ingredient, depending on how many times you select the perk.

Regarding side quests there are many to do, including the "wanted" quests. You have to talk to different people. Regarding random exploring, there are many, many interesting places to explore, and you don't have to worry about breaking quests (unless you enter some place you're locked or blocked from by using console commands).

Thanks for the info. I talked to everyone in Riverville and I think I got everything there. I started a list of people in Ark. Gotta go old school and actually write things down like an old school RPG lol.

Doing the Wanted quests is definitely a good way to build up your levels and skills. In case you are not familiar with them, there is a bounty board (bulletin board with posters on it) in the marketplace in both Riverville and Ark. All told I think there are 10 bounties you can do, with each getting progressively harder.

When you get to the more difficult quests form these boards, you'll score some nice enchanted weapons and also a few soul gems.

You really have to talk to everyone to find all the quests. Unlike in Skyrim, where anyone with an actual name (first and last) was likely either involved in a quest or would give you one, in Enderal there are tons of NPCs with full names who will just grunt at you or insult you, but offer no quests. So you can't use that as a guide. Talk to everyone when you first see them. Some quests are only given after entering peoples homes. So if the doors not locked, go in every house.

Yeah, I think I'm almost done with the Ark bounties. I was operating on the named NPC is important logic, but quickly learned otherwise lol. I have been avoiding peoples houses because if I see something nice I have to steal it. I feel good at the time, but then later I don't because I have a lot of nice stuff with barely any effort.

I think my main issue is money for books really, although I did finally use up all my LP and CP so hopefully I can get it back under control. I really want the alchemy perk for identifying ingredients, hate that I have to use so many memories on stuff I don't use to get it.

Hmm, I've always felt my level was too high for every part of main quest since meeting Lishari, I was playing as a sneaker 1 hander/archer on Iron Path difficulty. But it's true that I did a lot of side quests between main quests. Such as egg-hunting, mushroom lab, Brotherhood of Kor, and fort ruins around Ark out early. Killed many enemies without being noticed though.
