Hi everyone,

Hints for better bows out there?

Kiléan bow that elf-guy gives you as reward for a quest is showing its limits now.

(Yes, I could find out in CK, but that would spoil it.)

Self-smithed Aeterna bow. Stats are wayyyyyyyy higher than that gift.
And something about handicraft skill, leveling from 50-79 makes no difference, upgrades still remains as "exquisite" and no new items unlocked, and while at level, the upgrades is slightly better about 4-6 points and one item unlocked, the "Magic backpack".

139 unused crafting points, 108 learning points (where are all these learning books that are supposed to be out there!) & 4 memory points at L-48. One heck of an "Explore Enderal" game, but time to go buy some books.

Hard to say exactly what is the best bow because it depends on your level and your archery skills, and if you craft it yourself your handicraft skill and enchanting skill. I have the Bow of the Mad hermit 76 damage + 12 fire damage. A Self-crafted Bow of the Righteous Path upgraded to exquisite has 80 damage, but I haven't enchanted it because my enchanting skill isn't very high.

Wow, OP, you don't feel underpowered by not improving any of your skills? Me on the other hand went exploring and I always bring 10-20 books with myself hahaha. There are rings and amulets that improve bow damage by 14% too.

Screw enchanting, the magnitude does not increase.
New character with enchanting level 15 and using petty soul gem: +5 fire damage
Leveled up enchanting to 50 and using grand soul gem: still +5 fire damage!

Enchanting is so powerful at level 15

I'm only running "adept" and not "grand master" or something. Skills are in their 70's with +6 for Well Traveler & +2 for "Wise One Tier II" (21/30 knowledge count)

Starting to show though which is why I asked.

Bow of the Mad hermit is quest item? I found Hermit Cave, but only some bandits in it.
