Jespar in Watchtower Wall-Can't access him - by Allana

Help: I'm doing Every Day Like the Last, Part II, and when I go to the watchtower, there's a marker there for him, but I can't talk to him. He seems to be stuck in the watchtower wall, slightly below ground. Any way to fix this or advance the quest?

Happened to me as well. access the console (typically \), click on Jespar on the screen until you see his ID show up and then type and enter:
Code Select all
resetai
He should start moving after you get out of the console (same key). 8)

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately it did not work. I can't get in close enough, and tcl has stopped working. I think the save game may be borked, as I got a bunch of crashing during the long talk prior to the trial as approached the overlook. Going to remove a couple of mods & restart.

But is Jespar actually clipped inside the wall? :?: Like, unreachable?

tcl is always working. You need to have nothing selected in the konsole.
You could also try to
Code Select all
disable
Code Select all
enable
on Jespar.

Yes, when I couldn't get tcl to work, that's what made me decide the savegame was completely borked.

And, yes, he was completely unreachable. I tried doing a "help jespar 4" to get his refid. Unfortunately the game didn't recognize it when I tried to use it.

Just ask in the forums for the ID.
Jespars refID is:
Code Select all
2b253
To select him:
Code Select all
prid 2b253
You could try with prid in usage:
Code Select all
enable
Code Select all
disable
Code Select all
moveto player
Code Select all
resetai
Usually Jespar stucks because of the navmesh on this Watchtower.

I looked up his refid on the wiki before starting this thread, and used it, and the game simply did not recognize it. I used the command as follows:

prid 2b253

but got an error message ... the game did not recognize the refid, which meant trying to use any of the other commands didn't work.

Thank you very much for all your help. I wish I could figure out what went wrong, but at this point it's a moot point as I've started a new game.

You could upload your savegame and I'll look into it. :)
Savegames can be found here: documents\mygames\skyrim\saves
A savegame consists of two files: one .skse and one .ess (please zip them together)

Just archive them together as .rar or .zip

Edit: I have no problem at all loading your savegame and talking to Jespar.
There could be two problems:
1. You have a ton of mods installed.
2. You have to wait until the evening for Jespar to arrive.

Ok, found the problem ... I thought it was night, saw quest marker, assumed he was in the wall. I loaded "a matter of time" mod & it's early morning.

You can see the ingame time by pressing TAB or opening your Journal.
