can anyone tell me the best way to retain Calia as the player companion, if playing as a female.

Use your tongue properly when talking with her, she likes good long conversations when you choose the right dialogues

My female character romanced Calia and didnt get well over with Jespar.
So its possible, if you think about what you say.
