Have played Enderal for many hours, latest update 3.1.1.1 ? came up and I downloaded. Haven't been able to start game since then. I got 'error code 80' skyrim won't start whenever I tried to start the game. Checked Skyrim, did a verify and was missing 22 files, reacquired them and tried again, now Enderal starts Skyrim with no experience, levels or property, in an inn in Skyrim, no matter which old save I try to load. This happened once before early on and I had to restart from the beginning, I don't want to lose 60-70 hours of play to a glitch. Have tried the suggestions on forum to no avail, do I really have to re-boot this thing to continue?

I don't know what caused your first problem, but if you let Steam "repair" your Skyrim, parts of your Enderal installation were replaced in the process. I am afraid you will have to reinstall at least Enderal to get it running again, maybe also a fresh installation of Skyrim first just to be safe. On the bright side, whatever caused your update problem should be gone after that as well.

Like Glycerin already said: The "Verify Integrity of game cache" destroys the whole Enderal installation.
Uninstall Enderal completly via the launcher (do not use the archive/backup function). Reinstall Skyrim. Verify Skyrim's cache. Install Enderal again following this instruction.
