I am playing Enderal on a fully updated game without any mods, and I cannot get the affinity classes to unlock.

At first, I tried becoming a black mage on a character that had originally 10 points in elementalism and 6 in blade dancer. I added 10 points to sinistrop, hoping it would overtake the blade dancer class (as I had 10 in elementalism, 6 in blade dancer, and 10 in sinistrop) - but that did not work - I could not unlock the black mage affinity class.

So, just to test out the issue to see if the problem is with my character or my game, I made a fresh character and used console commands to give him 25 memory points. The fresh character then had 10 points in elementalism and 10 points in sinistrop, and nothing else. Still, the black mage affinity class did not unlock. At first, the hero menu stated that my character was "elementalist/adventurer" but when I meditated to get out of there and walked around it then said "elementalism/sinistrop." Yet, still no black mage.

Please help!

Did you invest in 20 different memories? It is not enough to spent 10 memory points in 5 memories two times, you need to unlock 10 different ones in both classes to get an affinity.

I'm having the same problem, just hit level 19 and now have 10 memory points invested into separate memories in the Keeper and Blade Dancer trees and I'm still Keeper/Adventurer or Keeper/Blade Dancer.
I've gone to the top of the trees and gotten the top memory and have not invested in any second ranks. I haven't come across any book or npc telling me about the Blade Breaker class, but from what I've read it shouldn't matter. If it does indeed matter, where would I find book/npc for Blade Breaker?

Turns out that memories in a tree that are talents(shouts) do not count towards the total memories in a tree. Multiple ranks in memories that aren't talents tho do count. https://www.reddit.com/r/enderal/commen ... kenbugged/

I experimented giving my character additional memory points to see how I could trigger the affinity. Not including talents I ended up with 10 in Keeper and 11 in Blade Master before I got my affinity. So 4 more levels and I get my affinity, yay
