Are there even any followers like not quest related like hire-able mercenaries or even just friends (eg. Faendol from skyrim or lydia) because i haven't stumbled onto any yet and it would be cool if jespar could be a follower as well.

There are only two followers, both with their own questlines, and one of them is Jespar. Unlike Skyrim you can't hire any mercenaries, and the two followers you get won't accompany you everywhere you want to go. They pretty much have a mind of their own.
If you are just looking for something to tank, I would recommend to summon something. Summoned creatures talk (and sing) less, too.
