A Way to Respec?
Post by LadySunami »
I foolishly ended up reading every book I found while exploring before realizing it was using up my learning points. Is there any way for me to respec my character? I'd rather not have wasted points in heavy armor and block when I've decided to duelwield daggers and wear light armor. A console command that lets me lower specific skills and add back my learning points would be fine.

At the moment there is no such function ingame. It's a heavy scripting effort.
You could start over again :/ or take it as it comes. Sorry

Not even a console option? Man, that sucks. I really don't want to replay so much...

Ah, I figured out a way to do it actually. The player.setav console command works just fine, despite some of the abilities being renamed. I used it to shuffle those couple of points over to another skill.
I'll be more careful about what books I read in the future.

Nope.
Not in the game proper, but using the console and player.setav does work.
Be sure you keep the total number of points you've spent the same to avoid cheating. Remember that skills start out at 15, so don't drop anything below that.
Respeccing [solved]

Hi,

Simple question, is it possible to respec?
Which is resetting my talents so to speak.

Thanks!

Can you explain how the console command works in this game? I also made some mistakes, but I'm having a hard time reshuffling my skills using the console command. For example I've tried player.setav "skill" "value" and advskill "skill" "value." I think I'm missing something.
