Thanks for the answer, I have passed the news on.

I got another question from one of my friends - will the books and signs be translated as well?

Sure will, but that could take a while also. In fact, all literal scripture in Nehrim (thus excluding spoken words...) span over 58000 words.
In normal font and size, that adds up to over 150 pages. Ever translated massive text? :D

Nonetheless I'm confident that this will be dealt with, occasionally. Just don't expect Nehrim to be in perfect English for quiet a while :P

(Although, and please don't stone me to death for this comment, I think it'd be possible to use an automated translation programm for a rough "beta" translation, for all those who await an EV of Nehrim really really badly)

wow, be careful with that - it might just kill the interest of the mod around the world^^

(btw en allemand: Zinstötung? :P )

Of course you'd need to include a big, fat note implying that this would be but the roughest machine-translation to think of. However, I still think that this would help keep up the interest in a final version.

Just my 2 cents.

We'll first try to translate at least all the books and notes that are necessary for the quests.

I just want to update my last post:
The german version will be released on Thursday the 10th of June
Here you can see the Trailer which contends the release date, unfortunately, in german. But the Video is great!

Hm, would it be possible to get a transcription of that trailer? I'd love to add a video with subtitles to the article.
I know pieces of German, but it is at such a fast pace I can't pick them all up so I can translate them :).
(mainly the first part :) )

No problem I translated it for our guys at the ORE forums, hope it is right. I couldn't get some small parts, that are those (...) .

Here you go:
  • "I knew it had to be fate... something, that the gods made...
and that is good for me."

"All the gods are nothing more then powerful mages, also called
the Lightborn. But that alone doesn't give them the right to rule
over mankind. Don't you think so too? It is an unjust aristocracy. "

"For the freedom of mankind. Remember that. For the freedom of
    mankind."

"Welcome, Shadowborn. Welcome to the place, where fate is
    created."

"The only enlightening thing about religion is a burning temple at
    night."

"See, my empire, all of this falls now into the hands of one who
believes, that he is the last hope for mankind. A fool he is!"

"This disgusting expansion of mankind. Under the sun of the
creator there should be no place for such imperfection."

"You can't only ask yourself, if a reign is righteous. That was the
reign of the Lightborn most likely not. But you also have to ask
yourself, if a reign may be necessary... and yes, it was." (...)

    ETERNAL REIGN?

" ...but in your arrival I hear the footsteps of fate."

    ETERNAL POWER?

    "For the freedom of mankind!"

"The power to crush you lies here in my hands! And with it the
    freedom of this world!"

    ETERNAL FIGHT!

"And from the sacrifice of thousands a new order will be created...
As it... as it was foretold."

"I will create a better world then anyone before!!"

"Kill me, (...) create a new order... And watch how it fails."

I Think I can add this up:
  • "You can't only ask yourself, if a reign is righteous. That was the
reign of the Lightborn most likely not. But you also have to ask
yourself, if a reign may be necessary... and yes, it was.
    Because it was stable."
The German setence is "Denn sie war beständig." - not easy to understand with the backgroud sound and music. I don't know exactly how to translate "beständig" - I know a few english words for it..
stable, durable, consistent .. maybe someone with a better understanding of the langoage can sort it out^^
  • "Kill me, go forth and create a new order... And watch it fall."
This "geht von dannen" is a bit of the odler german language - not quite in use today. so its not so easy to translate. But I think it fits.

Could someone explain how to install the game into the Oblivion folder? D8

I'm not sure where to put it.
Re: Release - by arvisrend
Posted: 10.06.2010 22:21
Why do you want to install it into the Oblivion folder? This way it will become difficult to play Oblivion. A new folder is way better.
Re: Release - by Yevgeny
Posted: 10.06.2010 22:33
How would you install it then? D8
Re: Release - by arvisrend
Posted: 10.06.2010 22:36
The installer lets you choose the destination folder, and then copies the necessary parts of your Oblivion folder into this destination folder.

I'm sorry, but I'm still not getting this. XD

I downloaded it and I got on my desktop is the games symbol which is that N sign.
Re: Release - by arvisrend
Posted: 10.06.2010 22:42
That N sign? Are you talking about the installer or the launcher?
Re: Release - by Yevgeny
Posted: 10.06.2010 22:45
Its the installer.

So what would I do next?
Re: Release - by arvisrend
Posted: 10.06.2010 22:54
Start the installer?
And wait half a minute or so. It's a huge file, so it takes some time until it even makes itself noticeable.
Re: Release - by Yevgeny
Posted: 10.06.2010 23:11
Alright now do I choose to place it's folder?
Re: Release - by Draziel
Posted: 11.06.2010 07:32
Just install it anywhere you like, but try not to install into c:\programs or some sort of system dir, cause you might get problems if you do. Like arvisrend already said, you dont need to install it into the oblivion folder because the installer already copies the necessary files out of it into the new Nehrim folder.
