Yes, templates make our life definitely easier.
Let's assume that you want to create an article on one of the Creatures. Instead of WRITING all the time in every page:
Description
Found
Items Dropped
Notes
Tips
You simply write only : subst:Creatures <--check in Preview, Save. Then you can edit the page with all the headings ready for you.
Thanks to templates you don't have to check how previous pages are 'constructed' , because everyone is using templates.
And, Hawk, if you're not sure what to tackle on Wikia, I can give you some ideas !
1) You're a native speaker, would be great if you could review my 'finished' main quest articles. I don't use any programmes that would correct spelling mistakes, so there must be plenty of them. And possibly some structures may seem unnatural.
2) You're a CS user, so again, huge advantage over most of us. Only Garnet is using it. And as I can see a lot of interesting information (price, weight, base damage for weapons) can be found there.
3) Photos of people. A huge and ambitious enterprise started by Garnet to have a database of all NPCs in Nehrim.
4) I love your humorous descriptions in your slideshows. I know its Wiki, supposed to be an accurate source of information, but it doesn't have to be dead serious. Feel free to add some funny captions to my slideshows/photos if anything comes to your mind.
5) Again, I noticed you use mods to Nehrim, right ? Maybe you could contact the lady who prepared the one with cats or other modders on Nexus so that we could add their mods to our Wiki (Mods for Nehrim section).
6) Items page -- > a lot to choose from:p Magic, the same.
Hope you will find something that suits you
