Hard to believe there is still translating going on this close to release. Doesn't the voice acting have to come after translation?

(While text usually becomes shorter when translated into English, things like this can happen when the English voice actor speaks more slowly or makes pauses.) Most of the time, this doesn't break things (Skyrim's dialogue system and scenes wait for the lines to end), but sometimes we handle dialogue manually (using the "Say" and "Utility.Wait" script functions), and then we end up with cut-off dialogue or, worse, CTDs because of interleaving "Say"s. So everything needs to be tested and some lines retaken :( Besides, as someone else said, some things are waiting for the translation (bards' songs, IIRC). Sorry for the wait, but there isn't much we can currently do about it. No, there are no hard blockers that would take months to be resolved.

The Launch trailer? Yeah we are trying to get it done in English as well, if we have some time at our hands. Though we won't hold back the release if it doesn't get ready in time.

Since deadline is on the 15 august, the EV should be release this week or during the week-end since Sunday is the 14th ...

Really looking forward to this. I've deleted the german version in preparation and cannot wait to see more than just the starting area and actually be able to talk to matey chopping wood and understand what he wants for the first time :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Why not? I think many people want to have the German version with English subtitles (I'm okay with 100% version).
Maybe it's an idea the devs can work on?

Not sure that's going to lighten the load as I'm just going to have to keep visiting and refreshing the forums...even more now in case I miss it by a couple of minutes :P :wink:

Yep, the German forum went into spam mode in the last 3 days (as it was from the 1st to the 3rd of July) which really loaded our servers with traffic (especially severe were the F5 abusers - yes Jaknet, just like you :P ) - hence we had to release it in the night to lessen the traffic as the server was close to shutdown more than once during the days prior ;-)

That's why you will have to live without a set date, though it obviously isn't that far off anymore.

I honestly did not know that repeatedly visiting a page would actually generate a load like that. I figured downloading the actual mod would load the servers much more so that's why you'd release it during down time. That's kind of interesting, and it's not the least bit surprising that you guys are holding the date back.

Is it still happening this week tho, or just somewhere during August in general? Cause at this point I'm visiting forum.sureAI.net almost every damn evening, I'm probably responsible for part of the server load myself. :oops:
