OK. Here's what I'm gonna do.

Uninstall Oblivion.
Clean off Nehrim.
Create a folder in C:\ called Oblivion-Nehrim.
Create a folder within that folder called Oblivion.
Install Oblivion into the folder called Oblivion.
We will see if Nehrim lets me install into the Oblivion-Nehrim folder without problems.

The problems i was having before though, were that the Nehrim installer would not detect the Oblivion.exe file UNLESS I installed them in the exact same place. That's why I did that before.

Will update once i inevitably run into problems.

That's strange... It's supposed to detect Oblivion with a fresh install. The registry might be messed up. Have you run cc cleaner?

Yup, went to the registry tab, scanned, fixed all selected issues. I did notice some oblivion-related ones last time. I just ran again and they're gone, so maybe this time the nehrim installer will detect correctly. Still installing oblivion right now.

EDIT: Nope. Tried installing into the Oblivion-Nehrim folder, nothing. Tried installing into the Oblivion folder, nothing.

It always tries to add a \Nehrim at the end of any path, meaning it wants to make its own folder within. This never works. The ONLY way I can get it to detect the oblivion.exe is by extracting DIRECTLY into the Oblivion-Nehrim\Oblivion folder.

Just make sure: SEPARATE folders for oblivion and nehrim

Separate folders wont work :( the only way to get it to continue with the install, without popping up a box (that yes, I can bypass, but when I have tried previously completely borks my game, making it unable to run) is by extracting the nehrim files INTO the same folder that the Oblivion files are in.

Then I am at an end really. I don't know what the solution might be. Hopefully someone else can help you. Damn shame that you can't play this mod it must suck for you. Keep trying or get some sleep and try again tomorrow!

Well thanks anyway friend, I appreciate you taking your time to try and help me, yeah it does suck I can't seem to play but I will keep checking this thread in hopes someone can help me.
EDIT: Yeah, just redid everything... a fresh Oblivion install after running CC cleaner, a fresh Nehrim install (i DID have to extract directly into the Oblivion folder) and still the same problems.

It MUST be because of the problems I'm having with the installer. I have to find out why it won't detect the .exe unless I extract directly into the folder. If anyone can help me you will have my thanks.

Still looking for help if anyone has any bright ideas on
A. Why my installer won't detect the oblivion.exe file even after cleaning registry
B. How to fix yellow boxes
C. How to fix missing voice acting

I got an idea. It might just work out. Go to a friend of yours or if you have another computer in your house. Install Oblivion there. Don't worry if it's an old one it doesn't matter. Then install Nehrim on that computer. If the installtion succeeds there you just need to copy the Nehrim folder to your pc you want to play on. I am positive that this will work.

If you didn't install Oblivion into the default path, I think I know what your problem is.

I used to have a ton of trouble installing mods for Rome: Total War. A couple months later, I installed the game and mods into my new computer, and it worked. The problem ended up being that I had manually installed Rome Total War into an awkward folder instead of choosing the default installation path. From your original post, it appears that you have not installed Oblivion into the default path, so try again.

And even if you did install Oblivion into its default path, uninstalling everything in the order of newest first may fix your problem.
