I'm experiencing a problem with Nehrim that's preventing me to play the game at all.

I have been having frequent crashes while playing (every 45 minutes or so the game crashes), but after the most recent crash, I tried to load up the game, and everything starts except once the game loads the entire screen is black, with the cursor and the menus still there. I tried restarting my computer and messing around in game a little bit but nothing seemed to do anything. Is there any way to fix this?

This happens with every save game I load. Interior locations are all black, exterior locations are all blue.

If you try starting a new game - does it have the same problem?
And if you do the same with original Oblivion with Nehrim deactivated, is the problem there aswell?

I guess that some files got corrupted when the game crashed. If it happens only in Nehrim then deinstalling it and reinstalling it thereafter should help.
Otherwise you will have to reinstall Oblivion aswell (don't forget to deinstall Nehrim first )

Before deinstalling Nehrim pls backup your saves then everything should work out The same is true for your Oblivion saves if you have to erase it, too.

I uninstalled both programs and reinstalled them, but I'm still having the same problem.

Even when you start a new game? Also does the same problem occur in Vanilla Oblivion?

That would be really weird.

Yep, it still happens when I start a new game, in both Nehrim and TESIV

Ok after some searching it seems this happens in Oblivion once in a while, when you have HDR lightning on in the settings.

Try disabling it if so and it should work once more

Same happened to me. I updated my video card driver to the AMD Crimson 16.9.2 version, when the same issue happened to me. I have an AMD Radeon HD 8400 / R3 Series Primary card. My laptop specs are humble: a 2 Ghz AMD Processor and 8GB RAM, running on Windows 10. The funny thing is that Oblivion didn't have this issue. At first I suspected that Pixel Shader 2.0 was no longer supported in my card based on the last driver update, but thank the gods, I read this forum. I deselected HDR and everything went normal. It seems HDR is the real issue here, maybe in another AMD update this will be solved. Thank you very much! Vielen dank, gut gemacht!

P.S. I was so desperate that I planned to install Oblivion and Nehrim in my Xubuntu Linux boot by using WINE. That's how much I love this game!
