Problem
First, the game loads fine, videos play and all is well. However, when I press "New Game", it shows a prompt confirming that action - clicking yes, the prompt disappears and nothing happens.
The loading screen also does not load properly. It shows the original Oblivion tips, yet has a white loading bar that doesn't move.

OS: Windows Vista
GFX: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530

I'm assuming this could be a problem with Vista... I honestly don't know. I'm hoping it can be fixed without yet another re-install. It's seriously taken me about 4-6 hours to try and get the game to work, and still no luck. Has anyone solved it? All the other threads/posts I look at just explain to restart, re-install, or select the master files. I've done all and still no luck.
Will I have to re-install Oblivion to a place other than Program Files, or is that just Nehrim?

Fixed
The patch for Oblivion hadn't installed properly. I re-installed the patch as well as put on a fresh install of Nehrim.
As for the Vista problems, I turned of UAC (User Account Controls), and it worked instantly.
I hope this thread remains for those who may have the same trouble as I did.
