Okay so I am running this through steam, the game is running, it has been updated completely but I can't see my hands in first person mode. Also when I am in first person mode my character's perspective makes me seem like a giant. I literally look down on everybody! Any help would be appreciated thx.
It seems the problem is not with your hands (you cant see them cause your point of view is so high), but with the camera. For some reason it seems your camera isnt at your eye hight, but above your head.
That would make sense, Ive reinstalled it twice and i'm getting the same issue, perhaps it is my method on the install....who knows lol :D
Im not sure about Steam Oblivion, but did you try using a fresh installation of Oblivion?
Did you follow all the instruction from the readme about how to install on Steam? Just asking to make sure

Maybe its a problem with the .ini file? Try to recreae it using Nehrim launchers setting tab.
Ive never experience this kind of issue, but maybe someone else knows anything about it?
I followed the instructions as follows:
Created a new oblivion folder
Copy and pasted Nehrim onto the existing oblivion folder in the Steamapps/common/ path
Overwrote the files that needed to be overwrote
launched Oblivion from Steam

Everything looks and feels great, I've got no issues other than the first person perspective.
updated: Created the ini file but still experiencing the same issue, going to try a reinstall
