I think that the canalization in Erothin also has a fence.

but what exactly is the canalization?

and is the bathhouse is Erothin actually called a bathhouse or is it something else? I walked all over Erothin using my local map to try and make sure I didnt miss it but I have no idea where that is either.

And I saw the pirate one mentioned in the load screen, but have yet to search for it.

You will get into the canalisation as part of the main quest

If I remember right (unfortunately having to reinstall and lost my early save games), when leaving the canalisation you should be pretty close to the bathhouse.

The bathhouse is called so. Erothin has multiple sections, like the harbor and the palace, not everything will show up on the map at all times. The bathhouse is in a backyard accessible through a (small) door.
