Yesterday I gave 10 pennies to a beggar near the Ark Harbor and got a brief message saying that "Blessing of the Benificent" (or something like that) had been added to my spellbook. When I looked at magical effects I could not see anything. Is it just a hidden passive effect or is it something I should be able to see in my book? I have checked and cannot see anything obvious.
I should add that I did have TGM active at the time (hey - some of those beggars have a nasty cough and I didn't want to catch fleshmaggots!) so wonder if that had somehow messed up the Blessing. If so, is there a way I can manually add it to myself when TGM is off?

the blessing should actually give a small bonus, e.g. on rhetoric or so
whether your error was caused by cheats or not, I can't retrace it.

Ah, found it - I had a +5 Rhetoric from something so looked in the Effects and found Fortify Rhetoric - Blessing of Generosity (Permanent), +10 carry, +5 Rhetoric, +15 health
TGM did not affect it. Phew.
