While at "Visibility" tabs all changes made are stuck and when clicking "Save settings", everything appears to work, however when opening "Settings" again everything will be the same as before clicking save settings. It started happening after the last patch 1.5.2.0
hm.
could you check, if there's a write protection on the enderal.ini
and the enderalprefs.ini in Documents\My Games\Enderal ?
if so, deactivate it.
otherwise, delete these two files.
they will be recreated with start of the launcher, maybe there was something off

Not sure what to do now.
there were *_default.ini in in Documents\My Games\Enderal
?
or did you delete those files from the game directory Steam\steamapps\common\Enderal?
are you using a modmanager?
they store their ini files somewhere else.
(no idea, you'd need to check)

ModManager2 creates profiles for the games and then saves the settings in them.
These could still be active.
I can't tell you more about it because I don't use Enderal-FS with it.
If this is the case, you need to cleanly uninstall MO2 and undo his changes.
But at least find the correct -.ini files that urst already told you, e.g. with file search.
(don't touch the ...-default versions in the game directory)
In case of problems with Mods or additional software like ModManagers we cannot offer any further support.
