I have a problem with my saves.
I mod Nehrim with MO.
When I`ve created my character and exited the creation screen everything is fine. I can play the game without any problems.
But when I load a save my character has a second headless torso behind the main torso. The second torso´s arms are stretched tightly backwards.
I first thought that maybe the problem was Invalidation, but now I don`t know.
In my Data folder there`s ArchiveInvalidation.txt og Oblivion_Invalidation.bsa among other things.
Is this correct?

The main mods I use are Oblivion Reloaded, the revamp (ORN) and OBSE.

I use the GOG version of Oblivion.

I did try to solve this problem by reinstalling everything.
Unfortunately that was a waste of time.

Does someone have a clue about what it could be?

welcome to the forum :)

the txt and bsa file are normal, yes :)
if that are your main mods, what else do you have installed?

some skeleton-mod in combination with a camera for example?

have you tried deactivating them, one by one?

Thank you for your reply.
Other than the mods mentioned I have a couple of hair mods needed for ORN, Blockhead, Fast Exit, Meshes and Normal Maps Beta, Custom Autosave, Nehrim HighRes Palm Tree Retexture and Phinix Immersive DarkUI.
No camera mod and no skeletons.
I also have the dialog patch to try to get a black background for the subs. I don`t know f it works yet since it is so dark in the mine in the beginning of the game.

I tried earlier to install a skeleton mod because of a suggestion somewhere else.
When that didn`t help I decided to reinstall everything .

hm, nothing in that list sounds as if it could cause that :/

did you install on a clean Oblivion, or a modded one? could MO have mixed things up (have no experience with that tool)?

and could you attach a savegame?

I actually think you may be right about MO screwing up.
After disabling every mod except PID and the dialog patch which are needed to make the game not crash, I still had the problem.
Some UI mods should not make it happen.

I attached two saves:
The Combat Save is with all my mods.
The Quicksave is almost vanilla with just the mods mentioned above.
To bad OBSE-files are not allowed.

Maybe I should post my problem over at the MO section of the STEP-Project.

"Edit"
I have found out that:

1. Running the game with OBSE in MO with all mods give this glitch.

2. Running the game with OBSE in MO and no mods gives this glitch.

3. Running the game with Oblivion.exe in MO does not produce the effect.

4. Running the game with it`s launcher and OBSE does not give the effect..

5. Running the game with Oblivion.exe outside MO does not give the effect.

and the absence of such mods should not make the game crash, should it :?:
to upload obse files you might need to pack them to a rar or zip file or something, didn't know that.
(it's the same with skse files)

strange :/
I'd say it's a obse dependent mod, but if it works outside MO :?:
some problem with MO and ORN then, most likely (judging by you list).
maybe reinstalling it already helps?
or ask in the thread of that mod (or contact the modder directly)

(or just ignore MO for playing if everything works otherwise ;) )

I just want to be clear: When I saidI need those two mods for the game not to crash, I meant after I had done ini tweaks and tweaks to the AI.txt. Just did not want to undo them.

Could be a combo of MO and OBSE giving this glitch.
Since bypassing OBSE in MO did not give the glitch.
To bad that is not really an option since ORN needs Blockhead and OR needs OBSE itself.

As you probably know the NehrinLauncher can launch OBSE as well but not mods installed in MO.
If it were possible to launch Nehrim`s launcher with MO maybe that would work better then?
I wish it was possible to test that. But MO fails to hook the game when I try it.

So you think maybe ORN has something to do with this?
Do you think so because ORN enhances the character models

Did you find something in the saves?

oh, thanks for clearing that up.

I can't really do anything with the saves, only check if the same bug happens on my game too.
which would then mean there's something wrong with them;
in this case there isn't, and you already had cleared that up by yourself (with that on and off testing)

yeah, ORN is the only mod in your list that does anything with the models,
so it's the only mod I could imagine doing that.

I'd say MO fucked up the installation of that mod, for whatever reason.
try testing with ORN deactivated (and reinstall it, if that worked).
(just throwing the stuff into your Data folder manually is probaly not an option for you?)

Yes ORN is the most likely suspect, but
"2. Running the game with OBSE in MO and no mods gives this glitch."

I already asked for help at the mod`s page. Noone has responded yet.
Maybe I should try to contact the author directly.

I do have a thread about this over at MO support going. They are the experts on MO after ball ,so I hope they can help me.
